The staff here were really friendly and helpful, and the location is great as it's close to everything.

Pictures of the rooms make the hotel look better than the reality - its very run-down with very poor bathroom facilities. The place needs serious money spent on it to bring it up to 2 star rating. Just compare the Hotel Boquier in the road behind the Alizea where I spent one night at the start of my holiday - the Boquier deserves to be called a 'hotel de charme', sadly the Alizea does not and it made a disappointing end to the holiday.

Proximity to main attractions
Low bed quality: old and extremely soft, making your back ache.

The location here is fantastic, within a short walking distance to all the tourist attractions and a popular dining spot, Chuy's.

Avignon is a fantastic city which we never get tired of.
The staff at the hotel are very pleasant, & do their best with what they've got, but it is little better than a backpacker's hostel. Our room had a stale smell, the bedding had a strong aroma of tobacco, and the shower was unusable - you had to hold it in your hand and it continually became freezing cold. The woodwork in the bathroom was rotting, and there was mould in the shower. Having said that, I would say that the cleaner had made a real effort to get it as clean as possible. Avignon is rarely quiet, which is part of it's charm, but lack of double glazing means you can't shut out the sound of the cleaning machines which are stunningly loud in the very early morning. Altogether it is not a restful experience at this hotel, and if you can possibly find the 20-30 euros extra to go elsewhere, I would strongly recommend that you do so.

I liked that the hotel was with in walking distance of the Avignon Centre train station. I liked that the hotel was with in the center of the old walled city and close to the attractions that I wanted to see. My room had a nice view of the area and a reflecting pool and gardens accross the road. I liked that a breakfast was available
I found the room to be very noisy as the hallways echoed and seemed to amplify any small noise. The walls were thin and other guests were noisy very late in the evening. Only one of the staff was rude and unhelpful as my phone never worked and it took a long time to figure out how to "unlock" the TV. The other staff people were very nice and spoke very good English. The room was sparce but serviceable.

The only good thing about this hotel is its location. It's right on Avignon's main street and a few blocks from the train terminal.
The room as tiny, the bathroom dirty, and the whole place was loud and kinda icky. It was overpriced for what it was.
